Located in Bronx 10463, the studio serves Riverdale, Kingsbridge, and Inwood. Every appointment is one-on-one, with time reserved for consultation, assessment, and customization.

Tim Pearson is a licensed barber, licensed esthetician, global makeup educator, and certified hair loss practitioner with more than 25 years of experience across grooming, skincare, makeup artistry, and beauty education.

His background includes professional training with Sassoon Academy New York, advanced esthetics education with Christine Valmy, and Hair Loss Practitioner and Associate Trichologist certifications through USTI/AMCA. This blend of disciplines informs a precise, thoughtful approach to every service offered in the studio.

Tim has worked in editorial, runway, theatrical, and performance makeup, as well as training artists and students as a licensed instructor. This foundation allows him to assess facial structure, skin behavior, hair growth patterns, and maintenance routines with professional accuracy.

His philosophy is simple: slow the process down, assess properly, and deliver care that feels respectful and personalized. Prism & Shear is LGBTQ-inclusive and gender-affirming, built for clients who want grooming and skincare that supports their comfort, identity, and lifestyle.
